ST.CHRISTOPHER SOCIETY
St.Christopher Society was formed in 1965 in the quiet, by some few members,some on them are still with the society.They are Mr. and Mrs. James Abindalum who were baptized and had their weeding the same day in the year 1968. St. Christopher Society was among those who laid the foundation stone of St.Kizito Catholic Church-Nima.
CHALLENGES
The society started as a Bible sharing group at a house near Mayor Hotel,Catechism was taught in that house and during Easter they were brought to church for Baptism,but some where along the line the society was collapsed.
REORGANIZATION
In April 1975 a young man by name David Adongo came to Church and was touched by the tribel groups who were singing and dancing,so after church service he contacted the few Frafra’s around and he wastold there was a Frafra group called St.Christopher Soceity but was collapsed, the following week he called the meeting with a few members, they were James Abindalum, Stephen Akurugu who are still with the society. Raphael Azitariga and David Atubiga who are now at home in Bolga, with the help of thses four people David Adongo was able to reform the society.
Raphael Azitariga and David Atubiga played a great role in the reformation of the society by going from house to house every Sunday after Church Service, and by July in the same year,new and old members were brought into the Society and the Society was reformed in the church,July 1975 and now catechism was taught a class in the church.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES INVOLVED IN
The Society was invited to welcome His Eminence Cardinal Joseph Tomko in August 1993 at Holy Spirit Cathedral and pray during bidding prayer at the Independence Square all in connection with the centenary celebration of the Accra Archdiocese.
1995 at the Eucharistic Congress Celebration at El-Wak Stadium the society was invited. The society again was invited at Christ the King to perform during the international Catholic Media Conference in Accra-Ghana.
From a humble beginning of less than 20members.The society has over the years enrolled, prepare baptized and confirmed about 300members.Currently the total membership of the society is about 430 with a capacity to grow bigger. The society’s vision is to reach out to non-believers within its jurisdiction comprising the Kusaasi,Moshie,Mamprusi,Frafra and all who would accept our message of salvation.The Society also boast of a vibrant women wing healed Madam Cynthia Sebik with the immediate past present being Madam Cecilia Asama.The Youth wing of the society which is a strong member of the parish Youth Council(PYC) Has Pius Amam immediate past Chairman and Justice Akanani the current Chairman.
