ST.CHRISTOPHER SOCIETY

St.Christopher Society was formed in 1965 in the quiet, by some few members, some on them are still with the society. They are Mr. and Mrs. James Abindalum who were baptized and had their weeding the same day in the year 1968. St. Christopher Society was among those who laid the foundation stone of St.Kizito Catholic Church-Nima.

CHALLENGES
The society started as a Bible sharing group at a house near Mayor Hotel,Catechism was taught in that house and during Easter they were brought to church for Baptism, but some where along the line the society was collapsed.

REORGANIZATION

In April 1975 a young man by name David Adongo came to Church and was touched by the tribel groups who were singing and dancing,so after church service he contacted the few Frafra’s around and he wastold there was a Frafra group called St.Christopher Soceity but was collapsed, the following week he called the meeting with a few members, they were James Abindalum, Stephen Akurugu who are still with the society. Raphael Azitariga and David Atubiga who are now at home in Bolga, with the help of thses four people David Adongo was able to reform the society.
Raphael Azitariga and David Atubiga played a great role in the reformation of the society by going from house to house every Sunday after Church Service, and  by July in the same year, new and old members were brought into the Society and the Society was reformed in the church,July 1975 and now catechism was taught a class in the church.
